about paige (owner / creative director):
paige has a varied background that has prepared her for both big and small projects. she has lived and traveled all over the world, constantly learning from her surroundings. in addition to design, she has a passion for teaching. she has been a yoga and dance instructor most of her life and finds that this helps her to create balance and contribute to her surroundings in the most elemental way. design for paige is about creating an environment that supports the entire person and comes from being of service. she has a bachelor of arts from ucberkeley, a certificate in sustainability from ucberkeley ext., and 10+ years of project management. she also attended the interior architecture and design professional certification program through ucberkeley ext. in addition, she is a certified green building professional through (cgpb) build it green, an organization that she firmly supports and admires.
about esin (designer):
esin has been working on various remodeling and decorating projects all over the bay area since 2001. her experience, cultural background and years of international travel allow her to bring a unique vision to every project. she has received multiple design awards from the national kitchen and bath association and have had her designs profiled in various bay area design publications, such as california home and design and palo alto weekly.
not content to expresses her creative vision exclusively through interior design, she is also an avid photographer and dancer. her involvement in these various mediums allows her to combine the vision of a creative artist with the pragmatics of a great interior designer. esin is also a part-time instructor at west valley college, which allows her to share her knowledge and experience with future interior designers. she likes to contribute to the design community not only by creating functional and beautiful spaces and teaching but also by volunteering her time whenever she can.
esin holds a bachelor of science degree in interior design and a bachelor of arts degree in german from the university of texas at austin. she became a certified interior designer (cid) in 2006 by passing the ccre and ncidq exams. she is also a certified green building professional (cgbp) and a leed (leadership in energy and environmental design) accredited professional
about louise (project manager):
louise’s early years were spent in the family-minded construction zone of the restoration of a 1727 home in western massachusetts. this introduction to reuse and recycling led her to a bachelor of arts in environmental science from mount holyoke college. after moving to the west coast, louise worked for seven years at the division of environmental health in humboldt county, managing the integrated waste management programs. in 2005, her consulting company passed the first construction and demolition recycling ordinance in humboldt county, which brought her back to her early childhood in the construction world. spending four months in australia steeped in the green building world gave her the in-depth knowledge to move to the bay area and find her place in the world of sustainable building. as a certified green building professional and leed ap, louise has overseen the green building program for a general contracting company in menlo park for the past two years. she now is the project manager for LOCZIdesign, facilitating design with construction implementation, all with the final goal of creating happy and healthy homes.
about tal (senior designer):
tal arnon has a bachelor of fine arts in interior architectural design from the california college of the arts in san francisco and a bachelor in art and philosophy from tel aviv university. her specialization in planning and designing high-end residential homes and public spaces has taken her all over the bay area and to international locations since 2004.
her varied background and spiritual enquiry has a big influence in her unique design. as a professional sailor, she traveled the world from an early age. this has influenced her design and life choices. as an adult, she has explored the wisdom of both native american and north peruvian shamanism, leading women’s circles and dream circles.
harmony is the key value characterizing tal’s design. she seeks to create natural balance in the built environment in order to provide the sense of peace we experience in the natural world. respecting the close relationship between the exterior and interior, as well as the flow throughout the living space, serves to make the building whole and the home complete.
about laurice (operations):
laurice comes to LOCZIdesign with a varied background in administration, organization, and décor. being a house painter and décor advisor for over 10 years has provided the opportunity to work on unique and diverse projects from exterior painting in cottage country to interior homes, condos, and businesses all over toronto, vancouver, san francisco, and even a flat in england.
with a personal passion for organization, laurice began her own business in vancouver in 2003, servicing small businesses and home properties. she focused her talents on reducing, removing, and restructuring items to provide stress-free environments for optimal function and enjoyment. working as both an administrator and personal assistant has given laurice a strong understanding of team cooperation and the best division and utilization of skills.
with an education and interest in psychology and personal growth, laurice developed an accountability program to assist people in creating balance in their lives, expanding capabilities, and promoting awareness and responsibility in action.
laurice moved to san francisco from vancouver in august and is extremely excited to have connected with paige and the LOCZIdesign team. having consulted with paige previously on projects, we knew joining forces would produce a great dynamic! laurice is eager to assist LOCZIdesign clients in creating great results in their lives.
about renee (assistant designer):
born an artist, renee is always creating. she can paint a room and then create a painting to match. as a jewelry designer turned interior designer, renee believes design is about a transformation that not only takes place in the things around you, but also transforms your inner self and lifestyle. she enjoys framing ideas to create valuable experiences and comfortable and unique interior settings. renee has studied design at ucberkeley ext. and was mentored under the timeless design philosophy. she has 5 years’ experience in residential design and throughly enjoys the process of transformation.
about jenn (assistant):
as a former editor, jenn combines her natural communication and research skills with a passion for interior spaces that delight and comfort. she maintains the LOCZIdesign materials library and ferrets out local sources of sustainable materials and furnishings for the design team. in addition to blogging about the realities of sustainable design for LOCZIdesign, jenn is enrolled in the interior architecture and design certification program at ucberkeley ext.
